I’ve been working with NB Studio on drawings for More Partnership’s rebrand and new website.

It’s been a pretty tough week here. Our studio was broken into on Sunday night and they wiped out pretty much everyone’s computers. The security here is being beefed up somewhat. We’re using the same system they use for the biscuit tin at Fort Knox. It seems it would be a smart move for me to introduce the same kind of security to my drawings too. Expect to see more of this in the future…

This illustration was an editorial piece for Research World magazine to go along with an article discussing Research using Social Media. The article read like it was wishing for an ideal that might never materialise so flying, tweeting, facebook-posting pigs seemed to be the order of the day.

The Word Wrestling Federation presents Page Match. An unbeatable name for a poetry event. Here’s the poster I worked on. Find out more about the event here.

This month’s science lesson for Eureka Magazine.

During the summer I’ve been working on illustrations and lettering for Marks & Spencer’s Food On The Move range. The new packs are starting to hit the shelves now so I’m beginning work on returning M&S the money from my commission through the purchase of sandwiches. It’s nice to see my illustrations sitting in a fridge being cooled to the ideal viewing temperature for once. Not a lot of clients will go to that kind of effort. It really makes all the difference.

Last week I was drawing portraits as Cadbury Dairy Milk’s artist in residence. I took the opportunity to see what some of their facebook fans would look like as animals. The trickiest was my attempt to draw a cat version of Atlas (Catlas?) holding a gigantic ball of wool instead of the globe.

Something I’m working on as part of a little self promotional project. I love how drawings of sheep and drawings of clouds are pretty much the same thing.
The second installment of The Moment After is published in The Times Eureka Magazine today. In this one we deal with Newton and an apple.

While we were coming up with artwork for Death and Other Unnatural Phenomena Giggle Party ran a competition where they promised that the winners would be immortalised in the album artwork. Being ‘a party album about death’ the winner’s portraits were always going to have at least a slight whiff of rotting corpse about them. Check out the full artwork here and close-ups of the portraits below…
