Yesterday was the debut of my new monthly comic strip in The Times Eureka Magazine. It’s called The Moment After and the first one imagines what happened in the seconds after Archimedes turned his washing routine into a masterclass on buoyancy and displacement. I’ve taken the chance to highlight the little known fact that his dog almost simultaneously made the very same discovery. Look out for another science lesson next month.
I definitely recommend trying to get hold of a copy of Eureka Magazine. There’s some bloody beautiful design (topped by Nathalie Lees’ sublime infographics) to go along with the massively interesting articles.

I’d like to say you should search the shelves of your local supermarket for Rude Health’s new Granola so that you can catch a glimpse of my drawings on their packs. Clearly priority number one should be to swiftly tear through the box to get at the tasty Granola.

I have lots of exciting new projects that I’m waiting to be able to post here but first I have to spend some time in a field. Roll on Glastonbury. I can’t claim the idea is mine but I made this flag under instructions from a very good friend. Say hello to Eavis Presley.

As I’m sure you already know, this week has been Wizard Week over at the most excellent web comic People I Know. Timothy asked me to contribute a wizard so I got straight to work on this mighty gorilla wizard – It seemed an obvious choice at the time but now I can’t say for sure what my line of thinking was. At some point I must have got confused about the difference between a wizard and a magician because I included a rabbit but overall I’m pretty pleased with him.

Here’s a glimpse of something I’ve been working on for a while (a long while). Hopefully I can show some more of these old people inspired drawings very soon.
