Another recent World Finance editorial illustration. A graveyard of forgotten ideas.

Another recent bit of editorial work. This time for World Finance magazine and an article, The Tale of Two American Economies, about a larger part of the economy made up by the small firms and self-employed workers that often go under the radar and are still in a deep and persistent downturn. Jobs that may be gone forever.
As soon as I get a chance some more of these World Finance illustrations will be appearing in the portfolio.
I’m curious to know how many credit crunch related illustrations I produced over 2009. I wonder if the Financial Crisis was worth it for me.
Another recent Research World illustration for an article about up-market shops pretending to be the most economic place to shop.

A portrait of your typical internet focus group for Research World.

A short while ago I completed an illustration for enRoute magazine’s November issue. Being their food issue I was asked to illustrate a rock band with food based musicians to go along with an article about food-themed songs. I suggested a few alternative ideas and in the end we went with the tape/spaghetti illustration above.
A copy of the magazine just dropped through the letterbox and reminded me I was going to upload the roughs here. So here you go. There’s something about these food characters I still quite like…

I’ve been a bit slow in posting this but here’s an illustration of Prince and Neil Young that appeared in Las Vegas Weekly in April. Get a glimpse of the issue here.
